We are all looking forward to attending the NAGAP 28th Annual Conference in New Orleans from April 8-11th. The four day graduate enrollment management conference promises to be a great event bringing together over 900 GEM professionals to learn, to discuss what’s going on in the trenches, and of course to enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of New Orleans. To get a full download on all the happenings you will need to download the Guidebook Conference App on your smart phone.

Barry Posner will be leading the opening session on Thursday, April 9th from 8:30 to 9:45 am. Barry has served as the Dean of the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University for the last 12 years and is a Accolti Endowed Professor of Leadership. According to his online biography:

He is the co-author (with Jim Kouzes) of the award-winning and best-selling leadership book The Leadership Challenge. With over two million copies, the book has been described as a groundbreaking research study, combining keen insights with practical applications, and has been translated into 22 foreign languages. FAST COMPANY ranked it among the top dozen books of 2012, and it has been listed among The Top 100 Business Books of All Time, receiving both book-of-the-year honors by the American Council of Health Care Executives and the Critic’s Choice Award from the nation’s book review editors.

There are a number of interesting tracks being held including Alumni Relations & Engagement; Financing Education;, Student Services, Recruitment & Marketing; Enrollment Modeling & Strategic Planning; Career, Staff & Personal Development; and Admissions Operations.  Here are just a sprinkling of sessions that look particularly interesting to our Enrollment Rx team:
