July 23, 2013 - Enrollment Rx, the leading provider of cloud-based Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for higher education, today announced that the Penn State Smeal College of Business is using Enrollment Rx to automate admissions processes. Built on salesforce.com's cloud-computing platform, Force.com, Enrollment Rx helps Smeal to create business process efficiencies and streamline activity with automated workflow, rich reporting and cloud-based access to current data.
Penn State's Smeal College of Business offers highly ranked undergraduate, MBA, executive MBA, Ph.D., and executive education opportunities to more than 5,500 students at all levels. Previous CRMs limited the admissions staff's ability to look at data in comprehensive ways, and slowed their ability to access useful information from a multitude of data sources.
Enrollment Rx transforms the world-class CRM platform from salesforce.com into a best-of-breed solution for higher education. By automating workflow, activities and alerts, Enrollment Rx simplifies the process of assigning outreach opportunities based on certain criteria, significantly improving the staff's ability to cultivate relationships with prospects. In addition, the flexibility of the cloud-based system allows administrators to evolve the system on the fly and easily recalibrate the system during the downtime of the summer months.
"The cloud-based CRM system streamlines our operations, offering sophisticated reporting and automated workflow that have been game changers for us," said Scott Sylves, MBA admissions operations manager, Smeal College of Business at Penn State. "This has provided us with the foundation to manage our applicant pool extremely effectively. It's a winning combination that will enable us to make good on the cradle-to-grave analogy for CRM across the student lifecycle."
The Penn State Smeal MBA Program went live with the new solution in 2011. Smeal also plans to extend the use of the system to admissions for other programs across the college, as well as student services, career services and alumni relations for the MBA program.
"Because Enrollment Rx is built on Force.com, we are able to pass along the tremendous value that the world-class cloud platform offers, including open integration, limitless scalability, and easy implementation," said Lawrence Levy, president of Enrollment Rx. "With salesforce.com at the core of our solutions, we deliver proven CRM technology, along with deep expertise in higher education to ensure clients can build better relationships with constituents both within their institutions and outward."
