August 14, 2013 - Enrollment Rx, the leading provider of cloud-based Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for higher education, today announced that Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) selected Enrollment Rx to manage relationships across the student lifecycle. The expansive CRM adoption will automate admissions processes, centralize contact management for the Office of Communication, and help the college improve relationship management with executive and medical staff at the Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education (CORE), a consortium of 27 teaching hospitals throughout Ohio. The university plans to go live on Enrollment Rx in November 2013.
Located at Ohio University’s Athens, Ohio campus, OU-HCOM is a leader in providing patient-centered, clinically integrated medical education from pre-med education through to residency training. Previously, OU-HCOM used OsteoAdMIT to manage contacts, but the system was limited in its ability to scale. The college turned to Enrollment Rx, which is built on the salesforce.com cloud computing platform, to improve relationship management with a broad swathe of internal and external constituents, including prospects, applicants, national- and state-level professional organizations, Board of Trustees, and all osteopathic physicians in the state of Ohio.
“Our goal is to manage not only contacts, but relationships with tens of thousands of constituents,” said Kapil Bajaj, Medical Informatics Analyst, Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. “To meet the college’s rapidly evolving demands, we were seeking a partner who could grow with us. Enrollment Rx offers that partnership, along with the reliability, scalability, flexibility and ease of use we required from a modern CRM platform. As we expand CRM to student affairs, academic affairs and alumni affairs, we will be well-equipped to manage relationships across the full student lifecycle, from prospect to alumni status.”
OU-HCOM anticipates the implementation of Enrollment Rx will bring significant value to the college across multiple departments and use cases, including:
Admissions - OU-HCOM currently receives more than 4,000 applications for 140 spots – a resource-intensive process, which will become increasingly complex when the college opens two new Ohio campuses over the next two years. Enrollment Rx’s automated reports and workflows will help admissions staff better manage resources and focus more attention on recruitment efforts. Enrollment Rx also empowers students with a self-service applicant portal.
Office of Communication - Pulling a report for a college-wide event, such as compiling a list of 10,000 recipients for the annual Medicine magazine, previously took a month’s time. With Enrollment Rx, the process will require no more than a couple of days.
CORE - The cloud-based CRM delivers data standardization and mobile access, ensuring consistent communication within the CORE consortium. This infrastructure supports and promotes excellence in the continuum of osteopathic medical education that begins with matriculation at an osteopathic medical school and extends through residency training and beyond into continuing medical education.
